Oxford in the evening

The streets of Oxford are very busy most of the time. However, a stroll in the early evening can reward the walker with easy passage through the main shopping areas and quiet side streets.

The images of this essay were taken between 5:55pm and 6:15pm on the cold Friday evening of Oxford's Light Festival which started at 6:30pm with the children's Lantern Procession accompanied by marching bands.

The Radcliffe Camera
