Santa Cruz Big Trees & Pacific Railroad

Little has changed since the Santa Cruz Big Trees & Pacific Railroad (popularly known as the Beach Train) began operating in 1986.

Twice a day the heritage train returns from the Santa Cruz Boardwalk out to Felton, the home base of the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Railroad.

The railway is one of very few in the USA with extensive street running rails.

The former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe CF7 class loco number 2600, hauls one of the twice a day trains across from the station and onto Beach Street, Santa Cruz.
